“Are we there YET?”

“Are we there yet? Are we there yet”
Those are the words my sons says on the way to Cold Stone Creamery and we are not even on Bell Rd. from Greenway yet. “Almost”, I tell him. “We are almost there”. Those seem to be the same words I am telling my buyers and sellers relating to the Surprise, AZ real estate market.
- jobs continue to grow
- mortgage rates are and should remain low
- there is a projection for inflation to decelerate
Let’s talk locally now. In Surprise, AZ we have some homes for sale. But we also have a great city center with a lake, tennis facility, dog park, future skate park, and a ball park where you can see the Kansas City Royals play. Once again the Kansas City Royals, folks, can you beat that? Also, we have numerous projects ahead of us. To name a few:
- Prasada
- Asante
- Surprise Stadium Village
- and probably 100 more Walgreens in the next 12 months (seems like it, doesn’t it?)
This means that despite the high inventory right now, people are still moving to AZ and buying homes. As the growth on the 303 and in the city continues, it will bring employment. Housing prices are near where they were in late 2003, so homes will be affordable for those newcomers and current renters. Rates are low, low, low.
September and October was a tought time in local sales (probably due to the credit crunch in August ) but I feel that we will see sunshine soon in Surprise, Arizona.
