“The Sky is Falling in Surprise, AZ”
October 30th, 2007 Categories: Surprise AZ Real Estate
The sky is falling! the sky is falling! That is all I hear from the media these days about the real estate market around the nation. I am not educated enough to say how the housing market will effect our economy, but I am an expert in Surprise, AZ real estate and…
THE SKY IS NOT FALLING
- Who is printing this? The media, right.
- Who is reading it? You, the consumer.
- Who wants a story to sell a paper or get ratings? The media.
WHO WOULD LOVE TO HAVE THE 2 TRILLION DOLLARS BACK, THAT WAS FUNNELED AWAY FROM THE STOCK MARKET INTO REAL ESTATE IN 2000, BACK?
WALL STREET!
Yes, our numbers our down in Surprise, Arizona. But remember, those numbers are down from peak numbers gained in the last 5 years.
- 2005 was the best real estate year in the history of the world.
- 2007 will be the 4th best year
- According to the Office of Federal Housing Enterprise Oversight, the Phoenix Metro Area had a 1.57% appreciation as of 2007 Q2.
Most of the news you read or hear on reports is a national real estate forecast.
People, there is no such thing as a national forecast.
Just like a national weather forecast, weather in New England will be much different than Phoenix in winter. Stick to your region and trust the experts in your area.
Please repeat after me:
The sky is not falling…. Surprise, AZ will be fine in the long run….. my house will appreciate at normal conservative percentages (like the old days)…. One day the city park in Surprise Farms will be completed.
